Hik-Partner Pro Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Hik-Partner Pro. Hik-Partner Pro is a platform aimed to provide with one-stop device management and maintenance service for using of Hikvision product (“Products”) and various value-added services for becoming Hikvision’s business partner. This Privacy Policy explains how HIKVISION (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles the collection, storage, disclosure and other processing of personal information when you use services over the Internet and mobile application, including (1) HIKVISION user website and user account that may be accessed at www.hik-partner.com, and all associated sites connected with it, excluding any third parties’ sites (the “Portal”); (2) software applications that can be downloaded to a mobile device including Hik-Partner Pro App (“Mobile Apps”); and (3) any services available on the Portal and Mobile Apps (“Available Services”).
The term “HIKVISION Services” or “Services” means the Portal, Mobile Apps, and Available Services. This Privacy Policy also applies to any information we collect from the operation and use of the Products while connected to HIKVISION Services and any other HIKVISION services that link to this Privacy Policy.
We believe that protecting the security and privacy of your personal data is important. We are committed to protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of your personal information by complying with applicable laws, and we are equally committed to ensuring that all our employees and agents uphold these obligations.
You will need to register an account via the Portal or Mobile Apps to access HIKVISION Services. For the purposes of seeking to provide you with a better experience, to improve HIKVISION Services or otherwise where you have consented, or where you have created an account (i.e., a logged-in account holder), you may access other services provided by HIKVISION over Internet and/or mobile applications. You may also from time to time ask us to migrate or export your personal information contained in one service to other services, where such migration option is available. Any applicable privacy policy may apply to specific services provided by HIKVISION, you are advised to read this Privacy Policy and any specific policy for your interest before using the services.

The information HIKVISION collects, and how that information is processed, depends on how you use our Services and how you manage your privacy controls.
Account information.
Depending on the different account system in your region/country, we have configured different registration mechanisms to provide you more convenient HIKVISION Services.
When you create a Hik-Partner Pro account to use HIKVISION Services (“Account”), we will collect information including your name, country/region, company name and email address to set up an OneHikID account firstly. After such registration, it will redirect you to add more information under OneHikID account to complete your Account, including company address and phone number.
If you already have an OneHikID (ePartner) account, you can use it to log in directly and after completing more account information, it will be upgraded to a Hik-Partner Pro account to enjoy more functional modules.
When you register a Hik-Partner Pro account to access HIKVISION Services (“Account”), we will collect your email address to allocate verification code. After verification, you will need to complete more information including company address and phone number to fulfill the Account registration.
If you already have a Hik-ProConnect account, you can use it to log in Hik-Partner Pro to access HIKVISION Services.
Certain functionalities of the Services are available only after you verified as an authorized user. After registration or login, you can choose to authenticate as an authorized user of Hik-Partner Pro. We will collect information like user type, company profile, Tax ID/Vat number, occupation, number of employees, industry, annual security revenue, etc. for authentication of your status, and also as a display of the basic information in the Mobile App or Portal.
In addition, when you install and activate Products, we will collect certain basic information via HIKVISION Services, such as your product name, the product’s verification code, and serial number, which are unique to the Product connected to HIKVISION Services and associated with your Account. We may also collect your trademarks, company logo, VAT number or other materials for authentication of your status,
Product information. HIKVISION Services are designed to make it simple for you to manage the Products and provide technical support and remote configuration. To make that possible, we need to associate Products with your Account by collecting the Products information when you scan the Products code or enter the Products name, the Products’ verification code and serial number which are unique to the Products connected to HIKVISION Services and associated with your Account, all of which shall be under the express consent of the owners of the Products. We also collect the parameter and configuration information of the Products when you configure the Products in your Account.
Usage and customer service information. We collect information related to how you use HIKVISION Products and Services and manage the Products, such as the types of content that you view or engage with, the features you use, the actions you take, and the time, frequency and duration of your activities, as well as your interaction with our customer services or HIKVISION generally. We use this information to improve HIKVISION Products and Services, develop new services and features, and protect our users. To protect our users, we analyze things like IP addresses, device type, login history, and password changes to detect and respond to abusive behavior. We may also record adjustments you make to the Products through HIKVISION Services and we store this information along with data collected directly by the Products.
Device information. We also collect information from and about the devices you use to access HIKVISION Services. This includes information like the browser, device name, type of network, operator you use, the UUID, model, system version, language and time zone of your device.
Deliver information. In order to provide you with after-sales service (RMA) and other supportive service, you may provide us information like your delivery address or delivery instructions. We use this information for things like processing, fulfilling delivering your order, matching the appropriate after-sales service center(s), and providing support in connection with the Products or Services that you purchase.
Commercial opportunity information. In case you want to find potential business partner(s) or be selecting as a business partner by other users, you can choose to register existed or potential project information or any other business opportunity on the “Project” feature. We will display information including the project name, address, contact details, end user, project supporter, and any other necessary details.
Quotation information. When you use “my quotation” feature to issue a quotation/invoice regarding the price and payment of Products, we will collect the name, mobile and address information. In addition, you may voluntarily provide us with your company name, logo and bank details.
If you use HIKVION Services to invite users, you shall submit the contact information of such users to us. You shall ensure that you are entitled by the user to provide such information to us.
We will also process the personal information which you voluntarily provide to us. If you do not provide your personal information, we may not be able to provide you with our Products or HIKVISION Services.
Information that we collect automatically:
Cookies and other technologies. We also use cookies, web beacons, and other technologies to keep records, store your preferences, and collect information such as log data and device data. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with HIKVISION Services, and improving them based on that information. This allows us to better understand how you use our HIKVISION Services, diagnose and troubleshoot any problems you have, and otherwise administer and improve our HIKVISION Services and Products. When you use the Mobile Apps, we may need to obtain additional permissions from your mobile device, for example, Camera access is needed during the use of Mobile Apps in order to capture the QR Code; in case scanning QR Code from your photo albums, you may need to allow the Mobile Apps to access the document and media of your mobile device; when you set WIFI parameter, the permission to access to location will be required;
You may need to enable the phone function when make a phone call for dialing the phone numbers in the Mobile Apps. You can manage your device authorization by turning on or turning off permissions at any time.
We collect a copy of any correspondence with us, including any verification information we ask for, if you contact us for any reason. When you place order for purchase products or apply for after-sale service, the details of transactions and communications over the platform, including the types and specifications of the goods ordered, pricing and delivery information, communications between you and us over the “Order & Promotion” will be collected. We use this information to improve our Services, develop new services and features, and protect our users. For example, to improve HIKVISION Services, we collect information about how you interact with Services to understand what features are most useful to you and improve them. To protect our users, we analyze things like IP addresses, login history, and password changes to detect and respond to abusive behavior.
We process your personal information for the following purposes, as a controller, depending on the specific HIKVISION Services and Products you use and how you interact with us:
(1) to provide HIKVISION Services described in TERMS OF SERVICE; (2) in furtherance of our legitimate interests in operating HIKVISION Services and business; and (3) with your consent. Where personal information of third party individuals (“Third Party Data”) are collected and processed via the Products or HIKVISION Services purchased by you, HIKVISION will process such Third-Party Data, as a processor, on your behalf.
For using [Site Information Management], [Remote configuration], [video live view], [video play back] and [Alarm Receiving Center] function, you shall be required to apply for and obtain additional permissions from site owner. For specific guidance, you could refer to the permission instructions on Portal or Mobile Apps. Site owners may withdraw their permissions at any time and at their sole discretion.
When you use Hikvision Service to live view and playback the video, we will only transmit it, rather than store it.
In above cases, you, as the controller of third party data, will be solely liable to collect and process such data in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to obtain explicit consent of data subject.
We do not sell any personal information to third parties. We may share your personal information with third parties as discussed below:
Others working for and with HIKVISION. HIKVISION and its affiliates use certain trusted third parties (for example, providers of customer support and IT services) to help us process, store, and protect some of your information and otherwise help us manage HIKVISION Services effectively, facilitate payments, provide a better user experience, and increase the quality of HIKVISION Services. These third parties are forbidden from using your personal information for non-HIKVISION purposes and are required to protect your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

New Owner. If HIKVISION and/or all or part of our assets are ever sold or transferred, your personal information may be among the items sold or transferred. However, we handle personal data breaches as required by applicable data protection law which includes, where required, notifying the breach to the relevant data protection supervisory authority and data subjects. Retention. Generally, we store your information as long as necessary to pursue the purposes outlined in this Policy, to comply with applicable law, or until you ask us to delete or edit it. You can access, update or delete your personal information via your Account profile by selecting “Person” button. We are ready to assist you in managing your subscriptions, deactivating your account, and removing your active profile and data. Your personal information might not be immediately deleted, as we are required to retain records relating to previous purchases through HIKVISION Services for financial reporting and compliance reasons pursuant to applicable laws. In addition, because of the way we maintain certain services, after you delete certain information, we may temporarily retain backup copies of such information before it is permanently deleted.
HIKVISION does not intend that any portion of its HIKVISION Services will be accessed or used by children under the age of 18, or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction and such use is prohibited. HIKVISION Services are designed and intended for adults. By using HIKVISION Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or above the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction and understand that you must be at least 18 years old, or above the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction in order to create an account and purchase the goods or services advertised through HIKVISION Services. If we obtain actual knowledge that an account is associated with a registered user who is under the age of 18 years old, or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction, we will promptly delete information associated with that account. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 18, or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction and believe he or she has disclosed personal information to us please contact us by email at. We transfer and process your information globally both in our own facilities and with service providers or partners, regardless of where you use our Services. As HIKVISION operates globally, we may transfer your personal information to our affiliates worldwide, when processing that information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We shall do so in accordance with the applicable laws. In particular, we will ensure that all transfers will be in accordance with requirements under your applicable local data protection laws by putting in place appropriate safeguards. You hereby agree to transfer the data and you have the right to be informed of the appropriate safeguards taken by HIKVISION for this transfer of your personal information.
EU/UK Addendum
If you are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) and UK, Please note,

Currently we have data centers in the U.S., Russia, Singapore, Brazil and Ireland. The laws, regulations, and standards of the country in which your information is stored or processed may be different from those of your own country. Commercial E-mails
You will only receive commercial e-mails from us if you have granted prior consent or if sending those e-mails is otherwise permitted, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
You may choose not to receive commercial e-mails from us by following the instructions contained in any of the commercial e-mails we send or by logging into your Account and adjusting your e-mail preferences. Device Data
You may manage how your mobile device and mobile browser share certain device data with HIKVISION by adjusting the privacy and security settings on your mobile device. Please refer to instructions provided by your mobile service provider or the manufacturer of your device to learn how to adjust your settings.
